Muscle testing is a noninvasive way of evaluating the body’s imbalances and assessing its needs. Simply stated, the body has within it and surrounding it an electrical network or grid. If anything impacts your electrical system that does not maintain or enhance your health and your body’s balance, the muscle being tested is unable to hold its strength.

In a typical example of muscle testing, you’re given an herb or supplement to hold. You extend the other arm and are asked to keep it straight. The practitioner presses down on this arm with a steady pressure. If the herb or supplement is something you need, you’ll be able to resist the downward pressure and hold your arm rigid. If not, you won’t.

Muscle testing can help to provide information on energy blockages, the functioning of organs and muscles, nutritional deficiencies, and food sensitivities. It can also be used to test the body’s responses to herbs, vitamins, homeopathic remedies, emotions, foods, allergens, make-up and other personal care products. The same procedure can be used to determine how often you should take each supplement and how much each time.
